Project Type: Coffee + Orange + Apiary Integrated Agroforestry Pilot
Current Status: Site preparation completed for the first planting phase, and 150 orange plants have been planted. The remaining orange plants and coffee planting are planned for the next planting season.
This first pilot farm will demonstrate a scalable integrated agroforestry model for Nepal’s mid-hills by combining commercial coffee, orange orchard development, apiary construction, rural employment, and climate-resilient land management.

The Rupakot site expands our practical field experience with coffee establishment in Nepal's mid-hills. The plantation will be monitored for plant survival, growth, soil response, and future integration with complementary crops, trees, and pollinator-supporting vegetation.

Project Milestone – June 2025
200 Orange Plants Granted by National Citrus Development Center
The National Citrus Development Center, Tansen, Palpa contributed 200 orange plants as a grant to support the establishment of the Ghetung Pilot Farm.
This contribution represents the first institutional support received by the project and marks an important step toward developing a scalable integrated agroforestry model for Nepal's mid-hills.
